Job Description
We are seeking a warm, responsible, and experienced Weekend Babysitter for casual night work in the Orlando area. This role is perfect for someone looking to earn extra income while making a positive impact on children’s lives. You will be responsible for providing attentive and engaging care for children in their homes during weekend evenings, ensuring a safe, fun, and nurturing environment while parents are away.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children during evening hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, games, and creative play.
- Prepare simple snacks or light meals as instructed by parents.
- Follow established bedtime routines and assist children with getting ready for bed.
- Maintain a tidy and organized play area, cleaning up after activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's activities and any important observations.
- Handle minor first aid situations calmly and competently.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 months of verifiable experience in childcare or babysitting.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both children and adults.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to adapt to different family dynamics and routines.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Professional experience as a nanny, camp counselor, or in a daycare setting.
- Educational background in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Clean driving record and reliable personal transportation.
- Positive references from previous childcare employers.
