Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Incident Response Coordinator to join our critical operations team at our major hub. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the immediate response to operational incidents across our extensive transport network. This includes identifying, assessing, managing, and resolving incidents efficiently to minimize disruption, ensure safety, and maintain service continuity. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and a strong analytical mindset to effectively manage high-stakes situations within a fast-paced aviation environment. This on-site position offers a high hourly rate commensurate with the critical nature of the responsibilities and expertise required.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all operational incidents, from initial detection through resolution.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with various internal departments (e.g., flight operations, ground operations, maintenance, customer service, security) and external stakeholders.
- Develop and execute incident management plans, including containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication to all relevant parties regarding incident status, impact, and resolution.
- Document all incident details, actions taken, and lessons learned to contribute to continuous improvement of incident response protocols.
- Facilitate post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of incident response policies, procedures, and tools.
- Participate in on-call rotations and be available to respond to critical incidents outside of standard business hours.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate complex operational incidents.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying critical information clearly and concisely.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on rapid decision-making under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations.
- Proficiency in using incident management and communication tools.
- Understanding of operational processes within a large-scale transport or logistics environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Emergency Management, Aviation Management, or a related field.
- Certifications in incident management (e.g., NIMS, ITIL Incident Management) or project management.
- Experience in an Aviation Operations Center (AOC), Network Operations Center (NOC), or Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Familiarity with aviation regulatory requirements and safety management systems.
- Experience with crisis communication strategies.
