Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Work From Home Archive Digitization Assistant. This is a 100% remote position offering flexible hours, perfect for individuals seeking to contribute to important historical preservation work from the comfort of their home. No prior experience in digitization is required; comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success. You will play a crucial role in converting various archival materials into digital formats, ensuring accuracy and adherence to our high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare physical archival materials for digitization (e.g., sorting, basic cleaning, cataloging).
- Operate scanning equipment and software to convert documents, photos, and other media into digital files.
- Perform quality control checks on digitized images to ensure clarity, completeness, and accuracy.
- Name and organize digital files according to established protocols and metadata standards.
- Assist with data entry and indexing of digitized content.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and any issues.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all archival materials and digital data.
