Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and highly skilled Bilingual Telephonic Interpreters to join our remote team. In this Work From Home role, you will provide real-time, accurate, and culturally sensitive interpretation services between English and another designated language for clients across various industries. This is a critical role that enables vital communication, ensuring that individuals can access services and information regardless of language barriers. You will work from the comfort of your home, utilizing your linguistic expertise to bridge communication gaps and facilitate understanding. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success in interpreting professional conversations across diverse fields.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, complete, and culturally appropriate interpretations between English and the target language over the phone.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all ethical codes and professional standards, including impartiality and accuracy.
- Manage the flow of communication, clarifying meaning and ensuring all parties understand each other effectively.
- Convey the tone and intent of the original message accurately.
- Handle a high volume of calls efficiently and professionally.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance interpreting skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Fluency in English and at least one other language (written and spoken).
- Excellent active listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to concentrate and remain focused in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, internet, and telephone equipment for remote work.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in telephonic or in-person interpretation.
- Customer service or call center experience.
- Familiarity with medical, legal, or technical terminology.
- Post-secondary education, particularly in linguistics, communication, or a related field.
