Job Description

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Junior/Intermediate Interior Designer to join our dynamic studio team in Subiaco. This role is ideal for a creative individual with 1-3 years of experience eager to grow their career within a fast-paced and supportive environment. You will work closely with senior designers and project managers, contributing to all phases of various projects, from concept development to construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior designers in developing design concepts, presentations, and mood boards.
  • Prepare detailed interior design drawings, including layouts, elevations, and sections, using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
  • Source and select finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project coordination.
  • Contribute to the creation of comprehensive design documentation packages.
  • Research and stay updated on current design trends, materials, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and external consultants.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables under supervision.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong understanding of interior design principles, space planning, and colour theory.
  • Excellent visual and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create compelling design presentations.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and accessibility standards.
  • A portfolio demonstrating relevant design projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in an interior design or architectural firm.
  • Experience with Revit or other BIM software.
  • Prior experience with commercial or high-end residential projects.
