Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Virtual Piano/Music Teacher to join our growing team. This is a remote position where you will deliver engaging and effective music lessons via video link to students of various ages and skill levels. Your primary focus will be on piano instruction, but proficiency in other instruments or music theory is a significant advantage. You will be responsible for creating a positive and encouraging online learning environment, tailoring lessons to individual student needs, and fostering a love for music.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, engaging virtual piano and music lessons to students through video conferencing platforms.
- Develop and implement personalized lesson plans aligned with student goals and progress.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with students and their guardians regarding progress, assignments, and scheduling.
- Maintain a professional and inspiring online learning environment.
- Utilize appropriate teaching materials and resources for virtual instruction.
- Stay updated with current teaching methodologies and online learning best practices.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable proficiency in piano performance and music theory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for various age groups and learning styles.
- Proficiency with online teaching platforms and video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet).
- Reliable internet connection and appropriate technical setup for virtual lessons.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for teaching music.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
- Prior experience teaching music online or in a classroom setting.
- Experience teaching other instruments or vocal techniques.
- Familiarity with various music curricula or examination boards (e.g., ABRSM, Trinity College London).
