Job Description

Join Westpac as a Virtual Loan Processing Officer and become an integral part of our dynamic banking team. This is a 100% remote work-from-home opportunity, allowing you to contribute to our success from anywhere in Australia. You will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of loan applications, ensuring compliance with banking regulations and internal policies. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding service. Full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and capable in all aspects of loan processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process various types of loan applications accurately and efficiently from submission to approval.
  • Verify application information, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
  • Communicate with applicants and internal stakeholders to gather missing information or clarify details.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lending products, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and escalate complex issues or discrepancies to senior officers.
  • Utilize internal systems and software to manage workflows and update records.
  • Ensure all processed applications meet strict quality and compliance standards.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative, data entry, or customer service role, preferably within a financial or office environment.

  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, or a related field.
