Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Systems Data Auditor to join our growing team in Salisbury. In this ongoing role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our critical data systems. This position focuses on meticulous data review, identifying discrepancies, and working collaboratively to maintain high standards of information quality across various platforms. You will play a key part in safeguarding data reliability and supporting informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular audits of data entries, system configurations, and transactional records to identify inconsistencies or errors.
- Validate data integrity across various databases and applications, ensuring adherence to established protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Generate detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommending corrective actions, and tracking resolution progress.
- Collaborate with IT, operations, and other departments to understand data flows and implement improvements to data quality processes.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of auditing procedures and best practices.
- Support compliance efforts by ensuring data systems meet internal policies and external regulations.
- Document audit processes, findings, and remediation steps accurately and comprehensively.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (e.g., internships, entry-level roles) in data analysis, auditing, or a related field.
- Familiarity with data governance principles or regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR).
- Basic understanding of database concepts or SQL.
- Experience with audit software or data visualization tools.
