Job Description
Are you meticulously tidy and looking for a hands-on role in a bustling pub environment? Greene King is seeking a dedicated Beverage Dispenser Line Flusher to join our pub maintenance team in Dorchester, Dorset. This entry-level position is crucial for ensuring the pristine quality and hygiene of our beverages, directly impacting our customer experience. As a Beverage Dispenser Line Flusher, you will be responsible for the regular cleaning and maintenance of our pub’s beer and beverage lines. Your attention to detail will ensure all lines are flushed according to strict hygiene standards, preventing contamination and ensuring every pint poured is of the highest quality. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone new to the hospitality industry or looking for a focused maintenance role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine flushing and cleaning of all beverage dispenser lines according to established schedules and procedures.
- Monitor line cleanliness and identify any potential issues or blockages.
- Ensure all cleaning chemicals are handled safely and correctly, following COSHH guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or significant maintenance requirements to the Pub Manager.
- Manage and restock cleaning supplies for beverage line maintenance.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with the pub team to minimize disruption during cleaning times.
Required Skills

- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently.
- Good physical stamina for standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety practices (e.g., Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate).
- Previous experience in a hospitality or maintenance role, even if unrelated to beverage lines.
- An interest in the brewing or pub industry.
