Job Description

Join our dynamic team as Festival Events Crew for upcoming council-sponsored events across Belconnen and the wider ACT region. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of Canberra’s vibrant event scene, assisting with the setup, operation, and pack-down of various community festivals and activities. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training to ensure you are confident and capable in your role. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the physical setup and dismantle of event infrastructure, including marquees, staging, signage, and decorations.
  • Support event managers with on-site logistics and coordination during event hours.
  • Provide friendly and helpful assistance to event attendees, answering questions and directing them as needed.
  • Monitor event areas for cleanliness and safety, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Help manage crowd flow and ensure a positive experience for all participants.
  • Distribute promotional materials or information packages.
  • Participate in pre-event briefings and post-event debriefings.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness to perform tasks that may involve lifting, carrying, and prolonged standing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Valid Australian driver's license and own reliable transport.
  • Previous experience in customer service or a public-facing role.
  • Experience volunteering at community events.
