Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Aeronautical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team in Brighton. This role involves contributing to the design, development, and testing of advanced aerospace systems and components. The successful candidate will work on challenging projects, from concept generation to final product delivery, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. You will be instrumental in solving complex engineering problems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring cutting-edge aerospace technology to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the full lifecycle of aerospace product development, including design, analysis, testing, and validation.
- Perform detailed structural, aerodynamic, and system analyses using advanced simulation tools.
- Develop and review technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, and reports.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product integration and production.
- Conduct root cause analysis for engineering issues and implement corrective actions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies.
- Support flight testing and ground testing activities as required.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices in aeronautical engineering.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in aerospace design, analysis, or testing.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN).
- Strong understanding of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and aircraft structures.
- Experience with relevant aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., EASA, FAA).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience with propulsion systems, avionics, or aircraft systems integration.
- Familiarity with systems engineering principles.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Project management experience or certification.
