Job Description
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Door Supervisor to join our team in Digbeth, Birmingham. In this essential role, you will be responsible for maintaining safety, order, and providing a welcoming presence at various venues and events. Your primary duties will include controlling entry, monitoring guest behaviour, and effectively managing any situations that may arise to ensure a positive experience for all patrons. This position requires strong communication skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and a commitment to upholding high security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform entry control, checking identification and managing access to venues.
- Conduct routine patrols to identify and address potential security risks or disturbances.
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, including conflict resolution and first aid.
- Assist with crowd management and ensure smooth flow of guests.
- Liaise with venue management, emergency services, and event organizers as required.
- Complete incident reports accurately and promptly.
- Adhere to all legal and company security procedures and policies.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of first aid principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a door supervision or security role.
- Advanced First Aid certification.
- Customer service training or experience.
- Experience working in busy event environments.
