Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a Public Sector Officer with a focus on stability initiatives. This role is integral to supporting departmental projects aimed at maintaining and enhancing community resilience. You will contribute to research, stakeholder communication, and administrative functions that underpin our strategic goals in Western Australia. We are looking for an individual with a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to public service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the research and analysis of community stability indicators and trends.
  • Prepare reports, briefs, and presentations on various projects and initiatives.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including community groups and other government agencies.
  • Support the coordination and delivery of community engagement activities and workshops.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases related to departmental projects.
  • Contribute to the development and review of policy documents and guidelines.
  • Perform general administrative duties to ensure smooth operation of the office.

Required Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct research and analyse information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Public Administration, Social Sciences, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a government or not-for-profit environment.
  • Understanding of community development principles and practices in Western Australia.
