Job Description
Join the Victorian Emergency Management Agency as an SES Support team member, playing a vital role in our ongoing commitment to public safety. This full-time position in Tullamarine offers the opportunity to contribute directly to emergency preparedness and response operations in support of the State Emergency Service. You will be instrumental in providing operational, logistical, and administrative assistance, ensuring that SES volunteers and units have the resources and support needed to perform their critical duties. This role is perfect for individuals with a strong commitment to community welfare, excellent organizational skills, and a desire to make a tangible difference during challenging times. Full training relevant to emergency protocols and systems will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide essential logistical support for SES operations, including equipment management, inventory control, and vehicle coordination.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of operational bases and incident control centers during emergency responses.
- Process and manage administrative tasks, including record-keeping, data entry, and communication support.
- Liaise with SES volunteers, staff, and other emergency services personnel to facilitate smooth operations.
- Support community engagement and preparedness initiatives as required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and emergency management procedures.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance emergency response capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Current Victorian Driver's License.

- Knowledge of local geography, particularly within the Tullamarine and wider Melbourne region.
- Experience volunteering with emergency services or community groups.
