Job Description
This is an exciting entry-level opportunity to join our growing environmental compliance team as a Remote Environmental Compliance Reviewer. We are seeking motivated individuals eager to learn and contribute to critical environmental projects. This role comes with comprehensive, full training, designed to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in environmental regulations, permitting, and compliance reporting. You will play a vital role in ensuring our projects and clients meet all applicable local, state, and federal environmental standards, working from the comfort of your home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in a structured training program covering environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, state-specific rules), permitting processes, and compliance best practices.
- Assist senior compliance specialists in reviewing project documentation for adherence to environmental permits and regulatory requirements.
- Support the preparation of environmental compliance reports, permit applications, and other required regulatory submissions under supervision.
- Conduct research on specific environmental regulations and guidelines as directed.
- Learn to utilize environmental management systems and databases for tracking compliance activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project status and compliance findings.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of compliance reviews and related documentation.
Required Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to learn complex regulatory information quickly.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, public policy, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
- Basic understanding of environmental principles or sustainability concepts.
- Previous experience in a detail-oriented administrative or analytical role.
