Job Description
EcoCharge Solutions Inc. is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as an EV Charging Station Installer Apprentice in Pocatello, ID. This is a unique opportunity to launch a high-demand career path in the rapidly growing electric vehicle industry. As an Apprentice, you will receive comprehensive hands-on training from experienced technicians, learning the essential skills required for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various EV charging systems. No prior experience in EV installation is required; we are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety. A company van will be provided for your work, ensuring you have the necessary tools and reliable transportation to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead technicians with the installation, testing, and commissioning of EV charging stations at diverse locations.
- Learn to interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications for charging equipment.
- Ensure all installation work adheres to local electrical codes, safety standards, and company best practices.
- Perform basic diagnostic checks and assist with troubleshooting minor issues under supervision.
- Maintain accurate records of daily tasks, material usage, and project progress.
- Safely operate and maintain company tools, equipment, and the provided company vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and project managers.
- Actively participate in ongoing training sessions and pursue professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both on-site and within the company van.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn a specialized trade.
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a vocational or technical program in electrical, automotive, or a related field.
- Prior experience in construction, general labor, or an electrical helper role.
- Familiarity with basic electrical concepts.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
