Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and motivated E-Waste Dismantler / Recycler to join our team. This hands-on role involves the careful and efficient dismantling of various electronic devices and components within our indoor recycling facility. You will play a crucial part in preparing materials for further processing and ensuring compliance with environmental standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Manually dismantle and separate electronic components (e.g., circuit boards, plastics, metals, wires) from various e-waste items.
  • Utilize basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently for disassembling electronics.
  • Sort and categorize recovered materials into appropriate bins for recycling or further processing.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
  • Inspect incoming e-waste for hazardous materials and report findings according to established procedures.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed, occasionally lifting heavy items.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production targets and maintain a high standard of material recovery.

Required Skills

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks throughout a shift.
  • Basic manual dexterity and comfort using simple hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers).
  • Commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or recycling environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with various types of electronic devices or components.
  • Forklift certification (though not required, it can be an asset).
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
