Job Description

Kier Group in Swindon is seeking motivated and enthusiastic General Labourers to join our dynamic construction teams. No prior experience is required – we believe in investing in our people and will provide comprehensive on-the-job training to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., bricklayers, carpenters, electricians) with various tasks on site.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up barriers.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
  • Follow instructions from site managers and supervisors to complete tasks as assigned.
  • Support the team in ensuring project timelines are met and quality standards are maintained.

  • Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic communication skills to understand and follow instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A valid CSCS card (we can help you obtain this if you don't have one).
  • Previous experience in an outdoor or physically demanding role.
  • Familiarity with basic construction tools (beneficial but not essential).
