Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Allied Health Professional to join our dynamic healthcare team in Fort Saskatchewan. This is an exceptional opportunity for qualified professionals who require visa sponsorship to work in Canada. As an Allied Health Professional, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, contributing to multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the well-being of our community. You will apply your specialized knowledge and skills to assess, diagnose, treat, and prevent a range of health conditions, working within your scope of practice to support our patients’ recovery and promote optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests within scope of practice.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, education, and counseling to patients.
  • Monitor patient progress, evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with professional and organizational standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case conferences.
  • Adhere to all provincial and federal regulations, professional codes of conduct, and organizational policies.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management strategies and preventative care.

Required Skills

  • Degree or diploma in a recognized Allied Health discipline (e.g., Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Social Work, Dietetics, etc.).
  • Current registration and good standing with the relevant professional regulatory body in Canada (or eligibility for registration).
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a Canadian healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with Alberta Health Services policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in a second language relevant to the local population.
