Job Description
Are you a passionate pharmacy student looking to gain invaluable paid retail experience in a supportive and dynamic environment? Walgreens is excited to offer a Pharmacy Student Placement opportunity in our Beaverton, Oregon location. This placement is designed for students currently enrolled in a pharmacy program who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting. You will work alongside experienced pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, learning the daily operations of a bustling retail pharmacy and contributing to the health and well-being of our community. As a Pharmacy Student Placement, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of retail pharmacy, from patient interaction to prescription processing. This is a unique chance to develop critical skills, build your professional network, and explore potential career paths within the pharmacy industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with prescription fulfillment processes, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines.
- Providing exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries, and assisting with over-the-counter product selection.
- Managing and organizing pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves, monitoring expiration dates, and assisting with order placement.
- Operating point-of-sale systems and handling transactions accurately.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
- Learning and adhering to all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.
- Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities.
