Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate iOS Developer to join our innovative team in Derby. As an iOS Developer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for our diverse client base. You will work within a dynamic agile environment, collaborating closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other developers to deliver exceptional user experiences. This role requires a strong understanding of the iOS ecosystem, a commitment to clean code, and a drive to stay current with the latest mobile technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Swift/Objective-C code.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in Swift programming language.
  • Strong understanding of the iOS SDK, different versions of iOS, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
  • Experience with Apple's Xcode IDE.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
  • Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools like Instruments.
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards.
  • Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with SwiftUI and MVVM/VIPER/Clean Architecture.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Experience with unit testing and UI testing.
  • Published at least one original iOS app to the App Store.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
