We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join us as Trainee Air Traffic Control Assistants. This entry-level position requires no prior experience in air traffic control. We will provide comprehensive, full-time training that will equip you with all the knowledge and skills required to excel in this critical role. As a Trainee, you will learn to support Air Traffic Controllers, ensuring the smooth and safe flow of air traffic within our designated airspace. Key Responsibilities
- Undergo and successfully complete all phases of the comprehensive training program.
- Learn to assist Air Traffic Controllers in maintaining accurate flight information and records.
- Understand and adhere to strict safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Develop proficiency in using air traffic control systems and communication equipment.
- Monitor flight data and identify potential issues or discrepancies under supervision.
- Participate actively in classroom learning, simulator exercises, and on-the-job training modules.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and other aviation personnel.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to concentrate for extended periods.
- A keen interest in aviation and a willingness to learn complex procedures.
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
- Proactive and disciplined approach to learning and development.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and pass enhanced security checks.
Preferred Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in five subjects at Grade C/4 or above, including English and Mathematics.
- A-Levels (or equivalent) in any subject.
- A degree in a STEM-related field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) is an advantage but not essential.
