Job Description

This is an entry-level position designed for those with no prior experience in emergency services. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and accurately process incoming emergency and non-emergency calls, determining the nature and location of the incident.
  • Prioritize calls based on established protocols and urgency, ensuring appropriate resources are dispatched efficiently.
  • Provide clear, concise, and compassionate instructions to callers, including pre-arrival medical instructions when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of calls and actions taken using computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems.
  • Coordinate and dispatch emergency units such as police, fire, and ambulance services.
  • Monitor emergency service unit status and locations, providing support and communication as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with field personnel and other agencies.
  • Remain calm and professional under pressure, especially during high-stress situations.
  • Adhere to all operational policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
