Job Description

Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Marine Biology Research Intern to join our coastal field work team. As a Marine Biology Research Intern, you will play a crucial role in our ongoing projects focused on understanding and conserving coastal ecosystems in the Great Lakes region. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the collection of marine and freshwater samples (e.g., water, sediment, biota) in coastal environments.

  • Participate in data entry, organization, and preliminary analysis of field observations and lab results.
  • Conduct literature reviews to support ongoing research projects.

  • Collaborate with senior researchers and fellow interns on various project tasks.
