Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Food Truck Deep Cleaner to join our nightly maintenance crew. This crucial role ensures our fleet of food trucks meets and exceeds all health and safety regulations by performing thorough cleaning and sanitation after daily operations. You will be responsible for meticulously cleaning all cooking equipment, surfaces, and truck interiors, ensuring they are pristine and ready for the next day’s service. This is an overnight position perfect for an individual who takes pride in their work and values a clean, organized environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive deep cleaning of food truck interiors, including floors, walls, and ceilings.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, refrigerators, and prep stations.
- Wash and disinfect all cooking utensils, pots, pans, and serving ware.
- Empty and sanitize trash receptacles; manage waste disposal and recycling according to company standards.
- Restock cleaning supplies and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Ensure exterior surfaces of food trucks are clean and presentable.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to specific cleaning requirements for food service environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning, janitorial, or kitchen support role.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines (e.g., HACCP principles).
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (to potentially assist with truck repositioning, though not primary duty).
- Ability to operate basic cleaning machinery (e.g., pressure washer).
