Job Description
Join our dynamic team at the H-E-B Laredo Distribution Center as a Night Shift Loading Bay Operative. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking immediate employment in a fast-paced and essential role. As a Loading Bay Operative, you will be crucial in ensuring the efficient flow of goods, playing a vital part in our logistics operations. We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who are ready to contribute to a team and uphold our standards of quality and safety. Full training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload freight from trailers and containers.
- Accurately sort, scan, and stage products for storage or shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (training provided if needed).
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damages or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the loading bay.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support distribution center operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physical environment.
- Commitment to working night shifts and an immediate start.
- Reliable transportation to and from the distribution center.
- Basic communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution setting.
- Experience operating forklifts or electric pallet jacks (certification a plus).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
