Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting entry-level opportunity to start a career in aviation? Menzies Aviation is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as an Aircraft Refueler / Line Service Technician at our London operations, specifically based out of the wider London area with easy access from Wimbledon. No prior experience is required as we provide comprehensive, full paid training to ensure you are fully equipped for success. This role is critical to airport operations, ensuring aircraft are safely and efficiently refueled and serviced to maintain flight schedules. Key Responsibilities
- Perform safe and efficient fueling of various aircraft types according to airline and company procedures.
- Conduct quality control checks on fuel to ensure compliance with standards.
- Operate and maintain ground support equipment, including fuel trucks and other vehicles.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with pilots, ground crew, and dispatch.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and airport authority guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
- Assist with other line service duties as required to support airport operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Respond to emergency situations with appropriate procedures.
Required Skills
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Possess a valid UK Driving License with a clean record.
- Ability to obtain an Airport Restricted Zone Airside Driving Permit (ADP) and Airside Pass (training provided).
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 70 lbs (32 kg) regularly.
- Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety and operational procedures.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic mathematical skills for fuel calculations.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English.
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in aviation.
- Customer service experience.
