Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and compassionate Hospital Food Service Assistant to join our team at our Laverton facility. This role involves performing routine food service duties crucial to our patients’ recovery and well-being. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and portion meals according to patient dietary requirements and meal plans.
  • Serve meals and beverages to patients with a friendly and respectful demeanor.
  • Collect used trays, dishes, and cutlery from patient rooms and dining areas.
  • Wash and sterilize kitchenware, utensils, and food service equipment.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas to ensure strict hygiene standards.
  • Restock food service supplies, condiments, and linen.
  • Assist with inventory management and reporting any stock deficiencies.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene protocols at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient needs and dietary changes.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
