Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and compassionate Hospital Food Service Assistant to join our team at our Laverton facility. This role involves performing routine food service duties crucial to our patients’ recovery and well-being. If you are reliable, have a strong work ethic, and are committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and service, this opportunity offers high pay for consistent, vital work. Full training in hospital-specific procedures and dietary requirements will be provided, ensuring you are confident and competent in your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion meals according to patient dietary requirements and meal plans.
- Serve meals and beverages to patients with a friendly and respectful demeanor.
- Collect used trays, dishes, and cutlery from patient rooms and dining areas.
- Wash and sterilize kitchenware, utensils, and food service equipment.
- Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas to ensure strict hygiene standards.
- Restock food service supplies, condiments, and linen.
- Assist with inventory management and reporting any stock deficiencies.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient needs and dietary changes.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
