Job Description
Are you looking for an easy, rewarding summer job that gets you outdoors? AquaGuard Pool Services is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Swimming Pool Water Testers / Monitors for the summer season. This entry-level position is perfect for those with little to no prior experience, as full training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients’ pools meet strict water quality standards, contributing directly to swimmer safety and enjoyment. This is an on-site position requiring travel between various pool locations within San Jose.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to assigned pool locations daily within San Jose.
- Collect water samples from designated swimming pools.
- Perform basic chemical tests (e.g., pH, chlorine, alkalinity) using provided testing kits.
- Accurately record and document all test results in our digital system.
- Report any water quality issues or abnormal readings to a supervisor promptly.
- Ensure testing equipment is clean, maintained, and properly stored.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company protocols.
- Provide light upkeep of the testing area around the pool deck as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability and excellent punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and independently.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation (company vehicle may be provided for routes).
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in outdoor work or a role requiring independent travel.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
