Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Actuarial Analyst to join our dynamic team in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex actuarial calculations and financial analysis to support various business lines.
  • Assist in the development, validation, and maintenance of actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and capital management.
  • Prepare detailed actuarial reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Support risk management activities by identifying, quantifying, and monitoring actuarial risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, product development, and underwriting, to provide actuarial insights.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives as required.
  • Stay current with industry trends, actuarial methodologies, and regulatory changes.
  • Participate in actuarial exam preparation and professional development programs.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Passed at least one (1) SOA or CAS actuarial exam.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, GGY AXIS, ALFA) or programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SAS) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Eligibility for visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • Passed two or more SOA/CAS actuarial exams.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in an actuarial, financial services, or risk management role.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with financial products and capital markets.
