Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and physically capable individuals to join our team as Orchard Netting Installers. This is an outdoor, agricultural role vital to protecting our fruit crops from pests and adverse weather conditions. As an installer, you will be responsible for the precise and safe installation and removal of protective netting systems across our orchards. This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for seasonal outdoor work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently install protective netting systems over orchard rows according to provided specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on netting as needed during the season.
  • Carefully remove netting systems at the end of the season, ensuring proper storage and maintenance for reuse.
  • Operate basic hand tools and potentially some light agricultural equipment (training provided).
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to complete tasks effectively and on schedule.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, standing for long periods, and working at heights (with safety equipment).
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (sun, rain, wind).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in agricultural work, general labor, or construction.
  • Experience operating hand tools or light machinery.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
