Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Pawn Shop Broker / Appraiser Assistant to join our team in Norman. In this role, you will support our experienced brokers and appraisers in evaluating items, assisting customers with sales and loans, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for customer service, a keen eye for value, and a desire to learn the ins and outs of the pawn industry. You will be instrumental in providing an exceptional experience for our clientele, handling transactions, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior brokers and appraisers in evaluating the authenticity and value of various items, including jewelry, electronics, tools, and collectibles.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting clients with pawn loans, purchases, and sales.
- Process transactions accurately, including cash handling, record-keeping, and inventory management.
- Explain pawn loan terms and conditions clearly and professionally to customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure showroom and appraisal area.
- Operate point-of-sale systems and internal inventory software.
- Adhere to all company policies, as well as state and federal regulations regarding pawn brokerage.
- Assist with merchandising and displaying items for sale.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold the company's reputation for fairness and integrity.
