Job Description
Join our dynamic team in Kapuskasing as a Delivery Van Unloader for morning shifts! This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking steady full-time employment in a fast-paced warehouse environment. As an Unloader, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient unloading of delivery vans and trucks, sorting incoming goods, and preparing them for internal distribution within our warehouse dock area. We offer comprehensive training, making this an ideal role for individuals with little to no prior warehouse experience who are eager to learn and contribute. Your reliability and physical stamina will be key to success in this morning shift role.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently unload various types of products and packages from delivery vans and trucks.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies, reporting issues as necessary.
- Sort and organize goods onto pallets or into designated storage areas according to company procedures.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as trained and certified (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on the warehouse dock.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely processing of deliveries.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly (up to 50 lbs / 23 kg).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent physical stamina and endurance.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in a warehouse setting (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or general labour role is an asset, but not required.
- Familiarity with operating a manual or electric pallet jack (training can be provided).
