Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Obstetrics and Gynecology Doctor to join our esteemed team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert medical care to obstetric and gynecological patients.
- Manage high-risk pregnancies and complex gynecological cases.
- Perform a range of surgical procedures in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Participate in on-call rotas for emergency obstetrics and gynecology.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and patient care planning.
- Educate and supervise junior medical staff and medical students.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
- Engage in continuous professional development and clinical governance activities.
Required Skills
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
- MRCOG Part 1 or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrable experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology at registrar level or above.
- Excellent clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.
Preferred Qualifications
- MRCOG Part 2 or CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in Obstetrics and Gynecology (or equivalent specialist qualification).
- Previous experience working within the NHS.
- Experience in a sub-specialty area (e.g., maternal fetal medicine, gynecological oncology).
- Evidence of participation in clinical audit and research.
