Job Description

Capita Plc, in collaboration with local educational partners, is offering an exciting Special Education (SPED) Shadowing Internship in Wimbledon, London. This entry-level opportunity is perfect for individuals with no prior experience in SPED who are eager to learn, observe, and contribute to a supportive learning environment. You will gain invaluable insights into the daily operations of special education professionals, understanding diverse learning needs and the strategies employed to foster inclusive education. Full training and mentorship will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Observe and learn from experienced Special Education professionals in various educational settings.
  • Assist in setting up learning environments and preparing materials as guided by supervisors.
  • Shadow professionals during direct support sessions, classroom activities, and individual interventions.
  • Support the general well-being and engagement of students under supervision.
  • Participate in team meetings and discussions to understand case management and strategy development.
  • Document observations and feedback as required, contributing to learning reflections.
  • Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures.
