Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated and compassionate Locum Doctors to join our dedicated medical teams across various specialties. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced medical professionals to gain diverse clinical experience, support patient care, and contribute to the renowned services at Cambridge University Hospitals. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality medical care to patients across a range of specialties as required.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and administer medications in accordance with hospital policies and medical best practice.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and participate in on-call rotas as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, ensuring clear communication with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Liaise with nurses, allied health professionals, and senior medical staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Participate in ward rounds, clinics, and departmental meetings.
  • Adhere to all clinical governance, safeguarding, and professional conduct guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a license to practice.
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrable commitment to patient safety and continuous professional development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in an NHS hospital setting.
  • Evidence of relevant post-graduate medical training (e.g., F2, Core Training, Specialty Registrar experience).
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with electronic patient record systems.
