Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Cutlery / Silverware Polisher to join our prestigious fine dining back-of-house team. This essential role is critical to maintaining the high standards of presentation and hygiene that The Dupont Hotel is known for. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all cutlery and silverware are impeccably polished, spotless, and ready for service in our acclaimed restaurants and banquet facilities. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a steady hand, and a commitment to upholding the luxury experience we promise our guests. Full training will be provided to ensure you master our specific techniques and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Expertly clean, polish, and shine all types of cutlery, silverware, and serving utensils using specialized equipment and techniques.
- Inspect each piece thoroughly for water spots, smudges, and imperfections, ensuring a pristine finish.
- Organize and store polished items neatly and safely, preventing damage and maintaining inventory.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the polishing station and surrounding work areas.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with the stewarding, kitchen, and front-of-house teams to meet operational demands.
