Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Bankruptcy Law Office Assistant to join our growing team in Lethbridge. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our bankruptcy practice, primarily focusing on accurate data entry and providing essential client contact and support. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Full training on specific bankruptcy law procedures and software will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry for client information, case files, and legal documents into our case management system.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, answering inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing updates under attorney supervision.
  • Prepare, proofread, and format various legal documents, correspondence, and forms related to bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Maintain organized physical and electronic client files, ensuring all documentation is current and easily accessible.
  • Assist with client intake processes, including gathering necessary information and preparing initial paperwork.
  • Manage calendars and schedules for attorneys, including court dates and client meetings.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails, distributing them appropriately.
  • Provide general administrative support to the legal team as needed.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
