Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Hotel Guest Service Agent to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial to creating an unforgettable experience for our guests from the moment they arrive until their departure. You will be the face of our hotel, providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment, requiring flexibility for shift work including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon arrival and departure, ensuring a positive first and last impression.
- Perform efficient check-in and check-out procedures, accurately processing payments and managing guest accounts.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues as necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Provide comprehensive information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications with precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front desk area.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments (housekeeping, concierge, food & beverage) to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Process wake-up calls and special requests accurately.
- Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Act as a brand ambassador, promoting hotel loyalty programs and special offers.
Required Skills
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and willingness to learn property management systems (e.g., Opera PMS).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel front desk or guest service role.
- Familiarity with Opera PMS or similar property management software.
- Fluency in French (an asset).
- A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
