Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Loading Bay Operatives to join our night shift team in Ely. This is an immediate start position, perfect for individuals looking for consistent work and ready to contribute to a critical part of our supply chain. As a Loading Bay Operative, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of goods within our distribution centre, ensuring products are loaded and unloaded accurately and on time. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary, just a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload goods from vehicles using appropriate equipment and manual handling techniques.
- Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests and delivery notes.
- Organize and stack goods in designated areas within the loading bay.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations during the night shift.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, ensuring they are securely packed and labeled.
