Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Drivers Mate / Porter to join our dynamic team in Rockford, IL. This essential role involves assisting our professional drivers with the safe and efficient delivery of packages and goods to various locations. You will be instrumental in loading and unloading vehicles, navigating routes, and providing excellent customer service. Full training will be provided, making this a great entry point into the logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist drivers with loading and unloading packages, ensuring proper handling and organization.
- Safely transport goods to designated locations, following established routes and schedules.
- Provide clear and professional communication with customers upon delivery.
- Verify accurate counts of packages and goods, reporting any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and delivery area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with other general warehouse or delivery support tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages frequently (up to 70 lbs with assistance)
- Strong work ethic and reliability, especially with early morning shifts
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills

- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, delivery, or physically demanding role
- Familiarity with local Rockford, IL area roads and routes
