Job Description

This entry-level position is designed for individuals with no prior experience in compliance, offering comprehensive training and mentorship to develop expertise in financial regulations, policies, and internal controls relevant to public sector operations. You will play a crucial supporting role in ensuring our financial practices adhere to all relevant guidelines, contributing to the integrity and accountability of our operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a structured training program to understand financial compliance frameworks and government policies.
  • Assist in the review and analysis of financial transactions to ensure adherence to established regulations and internal controls.
  • Support the preparation of compliance reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Learn to identify potential areas of non-compliance and contribute to developing corrective actions.
  • Conduct basic data entry and maintain accurate records of compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with senior compliance officers and other departments to gain a holistic understanding of agency operations.
  • Stay informed about updates to financial regulations and government policies relevant to Parks Canada.
