Job Description
Join Target’s dynamic distribution center team in Irvine as an Order Picker! This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to start a rewarding career in logistics and supply chain. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in accurately selecting and preparing products for shipment to our stores and guests. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and retrieve products from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or using scanning equipment.
- Verify product quantities and ensure items are free from damage before packing.
- Safely operate various warehouse equipment suchor pallet jacks, after receiving proper training and certification.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure and efficient work environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the distribution center.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and accuracy goals.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including stocking, sorting, and inventory counts.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and interpret order sheets and product labels accurately.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and verification.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- No prior experience required; full training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment (non-warehouse experience is acceptable).
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
