Job Description
Are you an early riser with a strong work ethic? DPD in Bristol is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Drivers Mates / Porters to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are physically fit, enjoy working as part of a team, and are looking for a stable full-time position with weekly pay. No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided to ensure you’re confident and competent in your role. You’ll be assisting our drivers with the safe and efficient delivery of parcels, ensuring our customers receive their goods on time and in perfect condition. If you’re dependable, a great communicator, and ready to get stuck in, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the driver with loading and unloading parcels at the depot and various delivery points.
- Help navigate routes and ensure timely deliveries across the Bristol area.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing DPD professionally.
- Ensure all parcels are handled with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Complete necessary paperwork and ensure accurate records are maintained.
- Communicate effectively with the driver, depot staff, and customers.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Support the driver in all aspects of the delivery process.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle parcels and perform manual tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with an excellent attendance record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail to ensure correct parcel delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehousing, logistics, or delivery environment (though not essential).
- Knowledge of the Bristol and surrounding areas.
