Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Witney. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the reliability, availability, and maintainability of our sophisticated automated systems and manufacturing processes. You will apply advanced engineering principles and analytical tools to identify potential failure modes, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring our systems operate at peak performance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and address systemic issues.
- Develop, implement, and optimize preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and potential reliability risks.
- Collaborate with design, production, and maintenance teams to integrate reliability best practices into new product development and existing operations.
- Develop and maintain reliability metrics and reports to track progress and communicate findings.
- Propose and implement engineering solutions to improve equipment longevity and system uptime.
- Support the selection and qualification of new equipment and components based on reliability principles.
- Provide technical expertise and training to maintenance personnel on reliability-centered maintenance techniques.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Reliability, Maintenance, or Manufacturing Engineering role.
- Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams).
- Experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical process control and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification.
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography).
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Experience in the automation or robotics industry.
- Proficiency with reliability software tools (e.g., ReliaSoft).
