Job Description

Michaels Stores, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Art Supplies Store Advisor to join our Cleveland team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, offering expert advice, product recommendations, and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating desired products.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on art supplies, techniques, and projects.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately.
- Process transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
- Restock shelves, organize inventory, and ensure proper product placement.
- Assist with merchandising displays to highlight new products and seasonal themes.
- Answer customer inquiries via phone and in-person.
- Stay informed about current art trends, new products, and promotions.
- Support store management in achieving sales targets and operational goals.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for arts and crafts.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer proficiency for POS operations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous retail experience, especially in an art supply or specialty store.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various art mediums and techniques (e.g., painting, drawing, sculpture, crafts).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
