Job Description

G4S is offering an incredible opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join us as a Trainee Security Officer in Edmundston, New Brunswick. We understand that getting started can be challenging, which is why we’re funding your SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence – a crucial step for working in the security sector. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training to equip you with all the skills and knowledge you’ll need to excel. This role offers a clear pathway to becoming a fully qualified Security Officer, contributing to the safety and security of our clients and their assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all required training programs to obtain SIA licence and develop security skills.
- Learn and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and security protocols.
- Under supervision, assist in monitoring premises and personnel to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities or incidents.
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations as trained.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Complete accurate daily reports and incident logs.
Required Skills
- No prior security experience required; full training provided.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to observe and recall details accurately.
- Basic computer literacy for report writing.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation.
- Previous customer service experience.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
