Job Description
Join our team as a Residential Pool Cleaning Technician and enjoy a dynamic career working outdoors! This role is perfect for individuals who are reliable, enjoy physical work, and thrive independently on a company-provided route. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for maintaining residential swimming pools, ensuring they are clean, safe, and fully operational for our valued customers. We provide comprehensive training, a company vehicle for your route, and all necessary equipment. No prior pool experience is required – just a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of residential swimming pools, including brushing, vacuuming, and skimming.
- Test and balance pool water chemistry using provided testing kits and chemicals.
- Inspect pool equipment for proper function and identify any issues or necessary repairs.
- Clean and backwash filters, empty skimmer and pump baskets.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and chemicals used for each pool.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding pool status, service details, and any recommendations.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Manage and maintain a designated pool service route efficiently.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily route.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in outdoor work, landscaping, or field service roles.
- Familiarity with the Somerville, MA and surrounding area.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
