Job Description
Join the Green Mountain Celebrations team as a Wedding Venue Setup Assistant! This is a dynamic, physical role perfect for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and are available on weekends. You will be instrumental in transforming our beautiful venue for each unique wedding event, from arranging furniture to setting up decor. We value reliability, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain experience in the event or hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the physical setup and breakdown of ceremony and reception areas according to event plans and diagrams.
- Arrange tables, chairs, linens, and place settings with precision and attention to detail.
- Transport and place decorative elements, floral arrangements, and signage.
- Ensure all event spaces are clean, organized, and presentable before guest arrival.
- Work collaboratively with the event coordination team and other staff members.
- Safely store equipment and supplies post-event.
- Perform light cleaning duties, including sweeping and waste removal.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and venue policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for weekend shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Proactive and able to anticipate needs during setup and breakdown.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physical labor role, hospitality, or event setup is a plus, but not required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
