Job Description

Join the Green Mountain Celebrations team as a Wedding Venue Setup Assistant! This is a dynamic, physical role perfect for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and are available on weekends. You will be instrumental in transforming our beautiful venue for each unique wedding event, from arranging furniture to setting up decor. We value reliability, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain experience in the event or hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the physical setup and breakdown of ceremony and reception areas according to event plans and diagrams.
  • Arrange tables, chairs, linens, and place settings with precision and attention to detail.
  • Transport and place decorative elements, floral arrangements, and signage.
  • Ensure all event spaces are clean, organized, and presentable before guest arrival.
  • Work collaboratively with the event coordination team and other staff members.
  • Safely store equipment and supplies post-event.
  • Perform light cleaning duties, including sweeping and waste removal.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and venue policies.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliability and punctuality, especially for weekend shifts.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive and able to anticipate needs during setup and breakdown.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a physical labor role, hospitality, or event setup is a plus, but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
