Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Weston-super-Mare. As an RN with Nuffield Health, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, patient-centred care across a range of specialities. Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with professional guidelines and Nuffield Health policies.
- Administer medications safely and accurately, monitoring for adverse reactions and documenting thoroughly.
- Monitor patients' conditions, interpret vital signs, and respond to changes in health status appropriately.
- Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative care, wound care, and general nursing duties.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in ward meetings, handovers, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure a safe and clean clinical environment, adhering to infection control policies.
Required Skills
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Minimum of 1 year post-registration experience in a hospital or clinical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in administering medications and performing clinical procedures
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a specific specialty area (e.g., surgical, medical, orthopaedics)
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Mentorship qualification or experience in teaching/supervising junior staff
